Note:'Swyx Mobile 2015' is a previous version of the'Swyx Mobile for iOS' app and can be used in conjunction with the following non- push notification server versions:'SwyxWare' /'Netphone' versions smaller than 11.x or'SwyxWare Advance' /'DeutschlandLAN Swyx'. Although'Swyx Mobile 2015' also works with'SwyxWare' /'Netphone' versions 11.x or higher, we recommend for these server types the new improved'Swyx Mobile for iOS' client, which is available as a separate app in the App Store.
Requirements
The following requirements must be met for the operation of the Swyx Mobile for iOS client:
- Apple iOS smartphone iOS (iPhone version 5 or higher), iOS 9.3 or newer
SwyxWare 2015 R3.2 / NetPhone 2015 R2.2 or "DeLAN Swyx II Rel. 1.2". Improved presence information is available from server version SwyxWare 2015 R3.2.2/NetPhone 2015 R2.2.2 (or higher). - Apple requires the use of TLS 1.2 for apps that are downloaded to the App Store. TLS 1.2 is only enabled by default on Windows Server 2012. If your SwyxWare runs on a system older than Windows Server 2012, you have to activate TLS 1.2 manually on your server (https://www.swyx.de/support/ssdb.html?kbid=kb4894)
New functions & technical improvements
In the context of the GDPR / DSGVO, changes were made to the optional logging function of the app:
- Limitation of the duration of saving logs to a maximum of 7 days, deletion of logs immediately when logging is switched off, note on how logging works
- Protocols recorded by the app can now be shared in different ways (previously only emailing)
Resolved problems
- privacy policy string encoding issue -> add fallback to parse with ISO Latin
- add missing layout constraints for web views under iOS 11
- updated translations & copyright
- force UDP traffic also for large (all) messages on advance
Known issues
- When using the iOS client on a Swyxware Advance Server the transfer of an existing call to another own device fails
- If the Swyx App is locked in the background or the iPhone when changing networks, it can take up to 20 minutes before the app connects to the Swyx Server again. During this time no incoming calls can be accepted via the Swyx App. This behavior can be avoided by opening the app and then manually selecting an online status
- Existing VoIP calls with Swyx App can be terminated by incoming GSM calls
- Rejecting an incoming second call to the Swyx App when a call exists is not possible
- Transferring an anonymous external call to the iOS app does not work
Limitations
- No integration with Apple CallKit, therefore no equivalent handling of native phone calls and calls to the Swyx App, no possibility of call acceptance in the lock screen
- The use of hardware keys on Jabra Stealth Bluetooth devices is not supported by Jabra
- The use of the hardware keys of Bluetooth devices except Jabra is not supported
