These instructions are used to create the correct diagnostic tools and make them available to us using the trace tool.
!!! IMPORTANT DATA PROTECTION NOTICE !!!
!!! Please ONLY use the SwyxWare-TRACE-TOOL !!!
In order to ensure that the analysis tools are deleted in compliance with the GDPR after the support case is closed, we may only process traces that have been made available to us using the trace tool.
Only these files are deleted after the ticket is closed.
We are also not allowed to access any external cloud storage (OneDrive, DropBox, etc.).
ATTENTION: Attachments added in the ticket are NOT deleted after the support case is closed and cannot/may not be deleted manually by us (tamper protection).
The TraceTool can be installed separately on any suitable Windows PC.
Start the SwyxWare installation, uncheck all SwyxWare services and leave only the trace tool checked.
If it is temporarily not possible to use the trace tool, in EXCEPTIONAL CASES we can generate an upload link with which the files can be uploaded.
Basis : IPDECT-V2 (BS 600 L / 8663)
Firmware: 07.40/B0103
published: 04/2025
This HelpCenterArticle can also be used for tracing the DECT600.
https://service.swyx.net/hc/en-gb/articles/16326859886492-DECT-500-Tracing-Troubleshooting
The DECT600 also offers additional analysis options, which we may have to forward to the manufacturer.
Depending on the firmware, the screenshots may differ from your system and menu items may or may not be available.
Please do not make any unsolicited changes to the default settings, as these may affect system performance/stability!
Generic Statistics:
These statistics should be exported before starting the tests (see below), then deleted and the bases restarted if possible and depending on the error pattern. After the error has been reproduced or has occurred again, please export the statistics again and upload them together with the old data using the trace tool.
Diagnostics:
These are included in the export. Settings may need to be made after consultation with the manufacturer.
Diagnostics/Logging:
Here you can create a network recording (pcap, wireshark).
Additional tracings may need to be activated. However, this is done after consultation with the manufacturer.
Download traces from:
Here you can download all traces (syslog, pcap, diagnostics, ...) and the configuration of the current or all bases.
Common causes of errors and known error messages:
Push-To-Talk (PTT) activated
If this message appears, the PTT function is activated for one or more users.
You can quickly recognise this in the configuration:
Under %SUBSCR_PUSH_TO_TALK%: all values must be set to 0x00.
This can be easily checked/corrected by adjusting the CFG without having to check each user manually.
