Sunrise (CH) is offering registerless SIP trunks. This means that the authentication is based on the public IP address of the SwyxWare server. Therefore, you need a static, public IP address from your ISP assigned to the SwyxWare server.
The actual interoperability tests were executed by Aarenet, the certification department from Sunrse, not by the Swyx TAP.
Configuration
For your convenience the generated CustomProviderProfiles.config is available for download at the end of this article. Extended information about how to use this file can be found at Configuration and Adaptation of SIP Providers via Provider Profiles.
During creation of the SIP Trunkgroup, profile 'Sunrise Business VD (CH)' has to be selected.
Important: From SwyxWare 11.00.0.0 on, the provider profile for Sunrise is already available in the list of provider profiles and the CustomProviderProfiles.config is no longer necessary.
Sunrise is operating with a number of different servers. Therefore, after creating the SIP trunk group, it is necessary to configure the Proxy Server in the "SIP" tab of the Trunkgroup Properties dialog, by entering the IP address that Sunrise has named you.
Codec Configuration
During creation of the actual trunk, in the codec configuration dialog, only G.711a and G.711u have to be selected as supported codec. This step could also be performed afterwards in the properties of the SIP trunk, underneath the 'Codecs' tab.
