We would like to show our customers the possibilities of how to stay productive from the Home Office with Swyx.
1. Using the SwyxIt! Windows client with the SwyxRemoteConnector
SwyxRemoteConnector is a SwyxWare service that enables and manages the connection of SwyxWare clients to SwyxServer from the Internet. A direct TLS encrypted connection is established between server and client.
A subscriber with SwyxIt! installed and configured can log on to the SwyxServer via any Internet connection from the Home Office or while on the move, and use SwyxWare telephony to almost its full extent. VisualGroups, SwyxIt! meeting (old), the SwyxIt! video function and SwyxIt! on a terminal server are not available in the current version via the SwyxRemoteConnector.
2. Use of the SwyxIt! Windows client via VPN connections
When connecting via VPN, all functions of the SwyxIt! client can be used to the full extent. The functionality is therefore the same as when you are present in the office.
3. Using the Swyx Desktop macOS client
Swyx Desktop for macOS is characterised by its intuitive, clearly laid out operating concept. Calls can be initiated conveniently from caller lists, phonebooks and, via shortcut, from applications such as PDF pages or websites. Calls are made in HD audio for the best sound quality. Even classic telephony functions of a PBX such as connect, redirect or hold can be operated intuitively.
The Swyx Desktop macOS client also connects from the Home Office via the SwyxRemoteConnector.

4. Coupling of the SwyxIt! Windows client with any external terminal device via CTI+
The user can enter a phone number in his SwyxIt! via which he wants to control an external telephone. This could be, for example, the private landline or smartphone. The prerequisite for this is of course the connection of the SwyxIt! client as described in point 1 or 2. This number can also be entered in the SwyxWare Administration, so that it is already entered in the CTI dialog in SwyxIt! when the user creates the CTI link there.
These two entry options are equally valid. I.e. if the user deletes the number in the CTI dialog of SwyxIt!, it will also be deleted in SwyxWare Administration.
5. Intelligent call management
The Call Routing function allows you to determine how incoming calls for you are handled in certain situations. For example, you can automate the following:
Calls on weekends
Callers who want to reach you in the office on the weekend will hear, for example, the message: "Our office is not occupied on the weekend. You can leave a message now". The caller's voicemail is then recorded and forwarded to you by e-mail.
It is also possible to define additional conditions and exceptions. The behaviour on weekends can now be refined so that the announcement "On weekends..." is heard by all callers, except callers from your own private line (identification of the phone number required). This means that if you work on the weekend, you will not be disturbed, but your family can still reach you.
Calls during your holiday
Callers hear the message that you are on holiday until a certain date and who will be standing in for you. After that, they are automatically put through to your substitute.
Behaviour during absence or during meetings
It is possible to use appointments that you have entered in the calendar (Microsoft Outlook/Exchange calendar or Notes calendar) in the rules. You can then specifically inform a caller that you are in a meeting and do not wish to be disturbed. The caller can then, for example, leave a message and you can take care of this caller after your meeting or you can even have special callers forwarded to your mobile phone.

6. Using the Swyx Mobile App
With the Swyx Mobile Licenses you can integrate your smartphone seamlessly into your business communications. Simply download the Swyx App to your iPhone or Android device and your mobile phone becomes a fully-fledged extension of your Swyx PBX. A decisive advantage of Swyx Mobile is the availability under a single telephone number. If you wish, you can thus communicate exclusively with your business telephone number. For outgoing calls you use the Swyx App and your call partner will be shown your office number. For incoming calls, you can flexibly define call forwarding rules in the Swyx VoIP software and thus control your availability in a targeted manner.
