New Firmware for SwyxPhones L6xx available (V3 R0.42.1)

Swyx has released a new firmware V3 R0.42.1 for the SwyxPhones L6xx, which you can download from ftp://ftp.swyx.de/ in the next day(s).

Please note that...

•  this firmware can only be used with the following SwyxWare versions:
  • SwyxWare 11 or
  • SwyxWare 12 or higher

This update contains several security fixes

To update the firmware at your SwyxServer you have to perform the following steps related to the installed SwyxWare version:

Open the Server Settings within the SwyxWare Administration and select the tab "SwyxPhone Firmware Update". Within this configuration select the option "Get". Hereby the SwyxServer will contact the Swyx FTP server (ftp.swyx.com) which is configured by default and downloads the latest firmware version.

After this you could validate that the new firmware was download by checking the firmware version information:

If the firmware version (V3 R0.42.1) is listed for all SwyxPhones L6xx, the phones of this type will prompt for a firmware upgrade the next time the user logs on.
