Release SwyxPhone Firmware V1 R5.6.1 for L62/L64/L66 desk phones

Summary 

Swyx has released SwyxPhone firmware V1 R5.6.1 for the L6x desk phone series.

Please note that this firmware is only released for the usage with SwyxWare 12 or newer.

Information

This version solves, among other things, a issue in the representation of the time in the telephone display.  The time in the device-internal conversation List (not to be confused with SwyxWare's own Call Journal) may still show an incorrect time under certain circumstances.

The corresponding firmware download folder will be updated accordingly latest begin of October.

Note on SwyxPhone Firmware Update

To update the firmware at your SwyxServer you have to perform the following steps related to the installed SwyxWare version:

Open the Server Settings within the SwyxWare Administration and select the tab "SwyxPhone Firmware Update". Within this configuration select the option "Get". Hereby the SwyxServer will contact the Swyx FTP server (ftp.swyx.com) which is configured by default and query the latest firmware version.To update the firmware at your SwyxServer you have to perform the following steps related to the installed SwyxWare version.

After this you could validate, that the new firmware version was updated by checking the firmware version information

NOTE:

For several reasons the firmware image for the L64/L66 has a changed package ID. Therefore the above described mechanism is not working with a SwyxWare older than SwyxWare 13, the firmware will not recognized by SwyxServer automatically. But you can easily add them manually.

Workaround: After selecting the option "Get" the current firmware version V1 R5.6.1 for SwyxPhone L62 is shown, but not for SwyxPhone L64/L66 firmware. Please add the strings "L64L66.img" and "V1 R5.6.1" accordingly in the empty text fields (see the screenshot below).

If the firmware version (V1 R5.6.1) is listed for all SwyxPhones L6x, the phones of this type will prompt for a firmware upgrade the next time the user logs on.

The update is still performed by the phones themselves, as they contact the FTP server and then download the firmware.
