No SwyxIt! call notification balloon in Windows 10

In Windows 10 SwyxIt! call notification balloons are not displayed.

Since Windows 10 Microsoft shows all app and systems notifications as toasts (introduced with Windows 8). Not all apps which depend on balloon notifications work well with toasts. Unfortunately SwyxIt! is affected by this Windows 10 issue as well.

To get back the balloon notification mechanism Microsoft offers a local group policy to restore this feature:

1. On a Windows 10 worksation log in as an user with administrative rights and open the Group Policy Editor  (Windows Key + R > gpedit.msc).
2. Goto “User Configuration  > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar“
3. Locate “Disable showing balloon notifications as toasts” and set it to “Enabled”.
4. Reboot your Windows 10 machine.

Now the balloon notification feature should be back again. However Windows 10 will display the ballon in the upper left corner of your screen.
