Summary
When using Yealink phones on a Swyx PBX we recommend to always use the latest released firmware. An overview of the released firmware per version can be found here: Yealink Firmware Overview.
Since SwyxWare 12.10 Yealink provides an exclusive firmware for Swyx, which you can recognize by the OEM number 133 in the third position of the firmware version number (x.x.133.x).
Advantages of this exclusive firmware for Swyx for you as a partner and your customers are
- Integration of exclusive features that are precisely tailored for operation with a SwyxWare
- Faster response from Yealink to correct bugs compared to when using the globally available Yealink firmware and
- the guarantee that changes to the global Yealink firmware are continuously included in the Swyx firmware
Please note that telephones with the firmware produced for Swyx exclusive will only work with a SwyxWare an no other PBX.
This article now describes a procedure to up- or downgrade the firmware of Yealink phones which have been purchased directly from Swyx and are shipped with a x.x.133.x firmware, e.g. to use them with a SwyxWare 11 version.
