DECT speech channels

Restrictions when using the G.722 codec:

If the voice codec G.722 is activated in the base station, the number of simultaneous possible calls is reduced to a maximum of 5 and the call signalling for group calls to a maximum of 4 per base station!

Example: There are 6 people in a room with DECT terminals, all of whom are configured as members of the "Sales" group. Due to the limitations of G.722, only 4 people receive call signaling for an incoming call when calling the Sales group. Because of the random principle, this time there are different members.

However, if all 6 members of the group are to receive the incoming call signal, the following options are available:

-Using the G.711 voice codec instead of G.722

Important: The G.722 codec must really be removed from the list in the base station, as the entry alone reduces the number of channels.

-Use of two DECT base stations for this area

version 1:
2 Base stations so that this space is located between the two base stations. Some DECT terminals log on to base station 1, others to base station 2 (one handset usually logs on to the base station with the best reception value).

version 2:
These 6 users are permanently assigned to the two base stations. 3 DECT terminals at "Basis 1" and the other 3 DECT terminals at "Basis 2". This ensures that all 6 DECT terminals ring simultaneously in a group call.
