INFORMATION
Enreach has released a new firmware pack for their Enreach DECT 600 systems. The focus in this new release is on the topic emergency calls and further improvements in an easy-to-setup strategy:
The package contains the latest firmware versions for all Enreach DECT 600 - and all SwyxDECT 500 - components which are approved for operation on Enreach DECT 600.
New functionality:
- Emergency calls: If enabled and properly configured, emergency calls initiated from a DECT-extension will always be forwarded to Swyx, even if all DECT channels in the corresponding cell are occupied. In this case, one of the current calls is interrupted and the emergency call is forwarded to Swyx instead. Complies with the Swyx Emergency Call Concept as of Swyx 13.30.
Note: Handsets and base stations must both be updated to at least v7.30.B0300.
Further improvements in an easy-to-setup strategy:
- Additional base station defaults: The Broadsoft event package is enabled by default - a prerequisite for the server-side synchronisation of call forwarding, DND and anonymous calls.
- Call notification and call pick-up can now be activated on extension level to avoid negative side effects with CTI+ pairing. If a Swyx user uses CTI+, call notification and call pick-up should be deactivated for that extension. Call pick-up can be performed on the SwyxIt! instead.
Note: The previous system-wide option is overwritten during an update. Please configure the setting individually per handset.
Beside these new features, improvements and some generic fixes and maintenance the following issues in the context of a usage with Swyx are especially addressed within this firmware release
- Fixed: Call pick up notification text in the handset is always in Englisch
- Fixed: Error in web-UI - header is shown twice
For more information about the functionality of the firmware Pack v.7.30.B0300 (v1) please refer to the attached release notes. Please note especially the downgrade instructions if you intend to downgrade a DECT BS 600 L to an older firmware version, e.g. to add it to an existing SwyxDECT 500 system.
If you only want to update/downgrade individual units, this can be done during operation. However, if you want to update the entire system to v.7.30.B0300 (v1), please note the information on using a maintenance window in the release notes.
The following article (Important Notes on the Firmware Update) gives you additional information for installing this firmware.
