SUMMARY
For the operation of DECT 600 components on a SwyxDECT 500 multicell system a suitable firmware has to be installed on these components.
With the Firmware Compatibility Pack based on the already released firmware v5.30.B02 Enreach provides a firmware for all DECT 600 components supported in the context of SwyxDECT 500.
The Firmware Compatibility Pack can be found in our Partnernet from 1st of August 2022 - SwyxDECT 500 Firmware Download .
Attention: If you update from version v3.x it is absolutely mandatory to make a intermediate step via a version v4.x. Please read the attached release notes carefully.
INFORMATION
With the release of the new Enreach DECT 600 Multicell system the update for the proven SwyxDECT 500 is available. More information about the product update can be found here.
Existing SwyxDECT 500 installations can be upgraded or replaced with DECT 600 components - this ensures the supply of spare parts for the future. More information about the downward compatibility of DECT 600 components can be found here.
For the operation of DECT 600 components on a SwyxDECT 500 system a firmware downgrade of the components has to be done. For the downgrade, please be sure to use the version 5.30B202 of the Firmware Compatibility Pack, based on the already released firmware v5.30.B02.
Changes to the Firmware Compatibility Pack (v5.30B202)
After downgrading the new DECT handsets HS 6x0 it could happen that the menu keys were no longer shown in the display of the handset and the handset could no longer be operated.
The changes only affect the new DECT 600 handsets HS 6x0, not the SwyxDECT 500 bases, repeaters, or the SwyxPhone D5xx. This devices remain on the original v5.30B02
Note: In the interest of better differentiation, the paths in the Firmware Compatibility Pack archive file have been changed. Copy the decompressed firmware package including the stored paths to your update server and then enter the path in the DECT 500 administration accordingly. Alternatively, you can also copy the individual firmware folders for the respective components into your existing folder structure.
For more information about the functionality of the firmware v5.30.B(2)02, please refer to the corresponding release article.
If you only want to update/downgrade individual units, this can be done during operation. However, if you want to update the entire system to v5.30.B(2)02, please note the information on using a maintenance window in the release notes.
The following article (Important Notes on the Firmware Update) gives you additional information for installing this firmware.
