SUMMARY

The new features and improvements in the new SwyxIt! 14.21 Release 2 are mainly based on user feedback from the last few months and an intensive Beta phase.

The new SwyxIt! 14.21 R2 and the new MS Teams Connector, which is also available, are distributed automatically and can be installed without admin rights. Prerequisite is an installed, released SwyxIt! 14.20/14.21 or a Swyx Connector for MS Teams 14.20/14.21 - in this case a server update is not necessary.

The new SwyxIt! 14.21 R2 contains mainly UI/UX changes based on user feedback from the last few months and internal usability studies.

The focus is on an improved visualisation of the user interface to further improve visibility and readability. The highlight is the completely revised call handling logic, which combines the familiar static Swyx line concept with a modern, context-sensitive dynamic call control.

  • Create a phonebook entry from lists (E.g. Call Journal)

  • New high-contrast color scheme, especially in Dark Mode
  • Replacement of the ribbon header
  • Labeling of the menu icons
  • Replacement of some outdated icons
• New Call Control 2.0 - Static line concept with dynamic, context-sensitive call control
  • Display of the recording status on the active line
  • Audio controls in Call Control
  • Display of the configured caller ID (extension) on the line element
  • Better visualization of caller name and number
  • Pop-up for rarely used actions
• In-app notifications (“Toasts”)
  • Display of incoming calls with the option of forwarding them directly into Voice Box, rejecting them or transferring them immediately to another extension
  • Call notification for calls for group members with the option to accept or ignore the call

The new SwyxIt! 14.21 R2 and the Swyx Connector for Teams 14.21 R2 will be automatically made available to all users of a SwyxIt! 14.20/21 or a Teams Connector from 09.07.2025.

If a SwyxIt! or a Teams Connector is not updated automatically, please check the installed version first. Versions lower than 14.20 will not be updated automatically!

If this is the case, first update your Swyx server and then the corresponding SwyxIt! and the Swyx Teams Connector to Swyx version 14.21. SwyxIt! and the MS Teams Connector will then automatically update to version 14.21 R2
